Instructions 

Create a textured and colorful ledger journal page! Start with acrylics, add stenciled patterns, and introduce contrast with masks. Add a unique touch by tearing/cutting a section and attaching fabric to create texture. 

Step 1: Start by applying acrylic paint to a page in the ledger journal. Here, Taffy, Papaya, and Sunshine were used. 

Step 2: Using the same and/or similar colors, add stenciling to the page with a mini blending tool. 

Step 3: While the paint is still wet, add journaling to the page with a Stabilo All pencil. This will scratch into the wet paint and add texture. 

Step 4: Add masking to the page with contrasting colors. Here a mask from the Old School Silhouettes mask & stencil set was used with Watery, Turquoise, and White acrylics. 

Step 5: Cut out or rip a section of the page. Take some burlap or canvas from the black journal and place it behind the page in the area that was ripped or cut. With Media Glue or a Tiny Attacher/stapler, add the fabric to attach the two pieces of the page together. 

Step 6: Using a dark color, stencil an image onto the whole page, overlapping the fabric area. Once dry, add some journaling with a white gel pen. 

Step 7: Add stamped botanicals and a focal phrase with the Media Glue or Tiny Attacher. 

Step 8: Using watered down acrylic paint, add some splatters to the page. Here, Stoked was used to add some high contrast splatters.
